Continuing Education that Inspires

“The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled” - Plutarch

As a speaker, I find my joy in helping breathe life into continuing education so that healthcare providers walk away feeling as though they are empowered to take on the challenges of caring for their communities.
— Dalia Lai, BSDH RDH

Dalia Naser, BSDH RDH is a graduate of the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry of the University of the Pacific with 10 years as a practicing hygienist and industry expert. She began creating continuing education courses and content in 2017, teaching in settings such as the dental hygiene program at Diablo Valley College, CDA Presents and the Chicago Midwestern Dental Convention.

She would like to publicly thank her husband, sister and parents for their support as well as her dental hygiene colleagues for their critiques spoken in love.

And thank you Ayesha Iftikhar of Ai Designs for her amazing work with my brand.

My mission is to create engaging continuing education courses and resources that inspire healthcare professionals to be the best they can be.

I value collaboration with other healthcare disciplines with an emphasis on the sustainability of practices that allow dental professionals to serve patients in a holistic way, encompassing oral and overall health.

Elder Care

There are 703 million individuals over the age of 65 in the world and growing, as birth rates decrease globally.

Oral Healthcare Professionals are poised to improve the current and future outlook for dental and overall health of this vulnerable population.

We face many challenges in clinical practice, including: addressing the oral health consequences of age-related decline and polypharmacy; retaining regular recall appointments; and how to effectively communicate product recommendations and instructions.

Participants will leave this program feeling confident in their ability to overcome such challenges and align themselves with the interdisciplinary care of the elderly.

Continuing Education Menu

  • Dentin Hypersensitivity affects 1 in 3 patients in ways that can severely impact their quality of life however only 30% of those patients even know what the condition is. Enamel Erosion can be a precursor to dentin hypersensitivity. Where does a dental professional begin?

A beautiful mixture of anatomy, physiology and lifestyle factors can contribute to enamel erosion and the onset of dentin hypersensitivity and invariably the management of those factors can contribute to a patient’s ultimate oral health.

This course is designed to reinforce the daily screening of patients, a review of the anatomical and lifestyle causes enamel erosion and dentin hypersensitivity as well as the different prevention and treatment options available.

  • Enamel Erosion is the condition that stems from the over exposure of enamel to extrinsic and intrinsic acids over time resulting in loss of smile aesthetics, sensitivity or tooth loss.

Given that nearly every patient that sits in our chair eats and drinks to stay alive, this condition is one that affects everyone regardless of many factors, however issues such as socioeconomic inequality, poor nutritional literacy and lack of access to basic preventative equipment and education can mean the difference between enamel erosion and the progressively worse conditions that follow.

  • What would you say if you could perform a variety of oral healthcare services without even seating a patient in your chair?

That is exactly what Teledentistry aims to do; it is defined as “the use of information, technology and telecommunications for dental care, consultation, education and public awareness”. Rising oral health needs of the geriatric, immigrant, full time employed and rural populations, means that dentistry and oral health education must be accessible as possible.

This course aims to inspire the future of oral health care delivery systems in a way that utilizes all that our 21st century has to offer.

  • The 21st century has increased visibility and communication between consumers and business owners. It has also proven an extremely useful tool in the unfortunate scenarios of local and national emergencies such as natural disasters and pandemics.

Given the skills and roles of dental healthcare providers, learning to successfully navigate a crisis can prove critical recovery of both the patient and community.

Outside the realm of crisis management, the tools learned in this course will help improve patient and employee retention by using effective communication tools online, in person and in print.

  • Whether you are fresh out of dental hygiene school or looking to jump back into the job market after a hiatus, this course is for you!

Let’s talk about the California labor market, audit your resume, brush up on your interview skills, discuss negotiating a salary and how to spot green/red flags from your potential dream job.
